Port phillip bay snapper fishing Melbourne 2015 mid season reds

While it has been a tough season if you get out and just go look for a snapper you might find yourself hooked up to a port phillip bay red . using our sounder we sound up the fish before we anchor which is exermly important this year with the numbers of snapper been  a bit lower then normal  rigged with snelled rigs and flasher rigs . it still is pretty easy to catch your self a nice red duing the november month and leading all the way up to xmas .

bait used pillchard's , squid strips on the flasher rigs  we have found this year having a burligh pot lowered down to the bottom has improved fishing alot .

We like to use snelled rigs with 1 flasher rig per 4 fishing rods . our sounder is lowrance chirp which works fine . best of luck fishing this season on Australian waterways :) ...
